Ice and Water Shield

From time to time as we are building homes in Logan's Run I thought I would take a minute to blog about the things that Allan Homes does that may seem like small items in them selves but add up to be the reason you should buy an Allan Home. Ice and Water Shield is one of those items Ice and Water Shield is a rubberized membrane that is installed between the undelayment and the roofing shingles. Ice and Water Shield protects against ice dams (ice freezing and thawing thus backing its way up under the roof shingles) as well as wind driven rain. Here is a picture of what Ice and Water Shield looks like installed in a roof valley.

Its a simple little step to take for added protection from the elements yet most builders do not include this as standard. At Allan Homes this little bit of piece of mind is standard. New Logan's Run Update

Lots of new and exciting things to talk about here at Logan's Run. First, I will start by showing the pictures of the finished homes at Logan's Run that I talked about previously in the blog.

Lot 22 is a Dover Model. Shown here with optional front porch and stone. The home really looks great inside and out.

Lot 28 is our Adams rancher. It is a 3 bedroom rancher located on a 3/4 acre wooded lot.

Lot 4 is a Greenwood model. This home is a 3 bedroom home that is very similar to our 4 bedroom Carlisle Model Home.

As you can see the community really is looking great and with more and more of the community starting to be built you can see what the finished community is going to look like.

Allan Homes has begun construction on out first rancher in Logans Run. The Adams is a 3 bedroom ranch plan with a full unfinished basement. This home should be fun to build. It really is a great plan.

Lot 27 Final Post

Well Lot 27 has settled and Logan's Run has a new home owner and Allan Homes could not be happier. The house looks great so I thought I would post just a couple more pictures.

Lot 22 Logans Run

Lot 22 now has the foundation footings. The foundation walls will be installed tomorrow. It is a Dover model and more picture will follow soon.

Lot 27 is Complete

Lot 27 is finished now and ready to be moved into, well as soon as it is cleaned. I really like the stone with the exterior colors that were chosen. Here are some photos of the exterior of the home. I will post some pictures of the inside as soon as the cleaning is complete.

Here is a picture of lot 4. The rain over the last couple days has kept me from putting on the waterproofing but it should finally be dry enough tomorrow. I will post more pictures tomorrow afternoon.

Logans Run Lot 4 is now under Construction! The home is a Greenwood model. Here is a picrure taken of the excavation for the basement. More updates on this home will come in the next couple days.

Lot 27 Interior Pictures

I took a few picture of the interior on lot 27 to post on here. This home is a Carlisle model. It is hard to get a feel for the flooring with the protective covering down but better safe than sorry!

Lot 23 Update

When we last saw lot 23 in Logan's Run it was still in its early stages of framing. Now it has siding most of the exterior trim, electric,plumbing and is going into drywall this week. This week also includes the septic and well installation. More updates to come on this great home.

Logan's Run Update Lot 27

Well it's been way too long since the last update. Logan's Run is certainly starting to take shape and with that comes much more to do. I will try to do a better job at keeping this blog updated at least once a week. Lot 27 is about 3/4 complete now and really moving along nicely. The stone and the siding really look nice. We are still waiting on a few shutters and loose ends but what a difference a couple weeks make. This week is the septic and well installation as well as final grading of the yard.

Lot 23 Ready for windows and Roof Shingles

Lot 23 is really coming along very nicely. Windows and roof shingles are scheduled for Install early this week and then we will start the heating and air rough ins as well as the plumber. Directly across the street from the model home is Lot 23. A Greenwood is being built on that lot for a family from New York. It will have many of the features of the model home including a Sun Room, Side Entry Garage, Large Front Porch and Finished Basement. This home should look very nice as it gets closer to being completed. Here is a picture of that home in its early stages of framing.

I have received various comments asking me to post more pictures of my Model at Logan's Run. Let me first say that the Model Home is open Wed - Sun from AM - PM and by appointment anytime.
